Terms
Plain versions of these are on the rules page. This is the same thing in the language a payment needs.

What this service is
rankdomains.net is a paid placement board. You pay to put a domain you are selling in front of people, and the amount you pay decides where it sits. Nothing here is an appraisal, an endorsement, a brokerage or an escrow service. We are not party to any sale of any name listed, and we take no commission on one. - 02
What you are buying
A position on the board for the remainder of the round it is bought in, plus whatever that spend still buys you in later rounds as it decays, and the outbound clicks the position earns. You are buying attention, not an asset, not a guarantee of traffic and not a guarantee of a sale. - 03
Credit and payment
Bids are spent from a prepaid balance, topped up in advance from $2. Adding credit requires a verified email address, so that a balance belongs to you rather than to one browser and we can reach you about what you paid for. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Credit has no cash value beyond its use on this board, does not expire while your account exists, and cannot be transferred between accounts. - 04
Refunds
Credit you have not spent can be refunded within 14 days of the top-up that paid for it, for any reason, back to the card you used. Write to support@rankdomains.net and say so. After 14 days, unspent credit stays as credit. Credit already spent on a listing or a raise cannot be refunded at any point, because the placement it bought has already been delivered. Both limits are separate from the two cases below, where we refund regardless: a payment that fails to appear as credit, and a listing we remove for our own reasons. - 05
Rounds end, and half of what you spent carries over
A round runs 72 hours. When it closes, your listing keeps half of what it spent and moves onto the next board automatically at that reduced figure. It keeps halving every round until it falls below $2, at which point it leaves the board and remains in the record under Past rounds. Holding a position therefore means continuing to spend on it. This is the mechanic, not a fault: it is what stops one payment owning the top permanently. Please do not pay if you expected a placement that never decays. - 06
How rank is decided
By cumulative spend within the round, and nothing else. Entry starts at $2, raises start at $1, and passing the listing above you costs the difference between you plus $1. Ties go to whoever arrived first. We do not sell exceptions to this and there is no way to buy a position other than the one on the page. - 07
What you promise about what you list
That you own it or are authorised to list it, and that the link goes where it says it goes. If you are selling a name, that means a genuine listing for it and an asking price you would actually accept; asking prices are self-reported and we do not verify them. If you are listing a website, that means it is yours to sell, it is working, and any revenue figure you state is true. You are responsible for what you publish, including the pitch text. - 08
What we will remove
Listings for names or sites you have no right to list, names that infringe someone else's trademark, links to malware, deceptive or illegal content, and anything used to mislead buyers. We can remove a listing at our discretion. Credit spent on a listing removed for one of these reasons is not refunded. Credit spent on a listing we remove for our own reasons is. - 09
Clicks are counted, roughly
The click count beside each listing is our best measurement, filtered for bots and repeats. It is a signal, not an audited figure, and we do not warrant its accuracy. Attempting to inflate it, your own or anyone else's, forfeits the listing. - 10
Availability
The board is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted service. If the site is unavailable for a meaningful part of a round, write to us and we will credit or extend it as seems fair. - 11
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the round the claim relates to. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. - 12
Changes
We may change these terms. A change never applies retroactively to credit already spent. If a change matters, the version in force when you paid is the one that governs what you bought.
Questions, refunds and takedown requests all go to support@rankdomains.net. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data, and the rules for how the board works.
